Hi All,
Wanted to take a moment and send you an update on Alexander. Today is a very good day! Well, I’m getting ahead of myself. Yesterday at about 0930, he was taken off the respirator J, and today, when Jacquie went to visit him in the ICU, the Dr. told her that Zander would be moved from the ICU into the regular Kinder Klinic, sometime today between 1400 and 1800. Well, Jacquie’s friend Bernie came by for a visit and we went to walk over to see Zander around 1500ish. On our way to the ICU, the Dr. stopped us and informed us that he had been moved from the ICU. Once we arrived at the Kinder Klinic (baby ward), Zander was there and was doing very well! In fact, he even drank from a bottle. The Dr told us that he was doing very well and that probably tomorrow; he will be taken out of the incubator and moved into a regular bed. The Dr. also said that Jacquie may be able to breast feed him tomorrow. Talk about a happy Mom!
Mom is doing very well also; however, I think that things are starting to catch up with her as she has been tiring very fast during the day. She has been going, going, going since the birth. So, I have been trying to get her to rest and take things more easily now that Zander is doing well. It is time to focus on Mom to get better and to be rested… I think that if all goes well, Jacquie will be released either Sat or Sunday; but, we’ll leave that for the Dr. to decide.
We want to thank everyone for their thoughts, concerns and prayers! Obviously the Big guy is listening! For those of you trying to call Jacquie, she apologizes if you are not able to get in touch with her. She has been out of the room quit a bit, visiting Zander. Please don’t give up on her.
