I love the Fall or Herbst as the Germans say. I love the change of seasons and it seems like each season has something unique and beautiful to offer. Each time I experience a change in seasons it's as if I am experiencing it for the first time. When I take my morning walks I love the brisk mornings and looking at the trees full of brilliant red, orange and yellow leaves. I love the smell of farmers burning leaves and the smell of wood burning fireplaces. In our village the fragrance of Myrrh is in the air and it is then, you realize fall is here and winter is just around the corner. I am not really sure how the scent of Myrrh is spread throughout the village, I think they may use pellets and place them in the fireplaces. If you have a clue, please leave a comment on the blog:)

We are definitely having an Indian Summer, with the temperatures ranging from 34 degrees at 6:30 in the morning to a wonderful 75 degrees in the afternoon. As soon as the sun begins setting the evening becomes cool and crisp.
The farmers are harvesting their corn, squash and potatoes in preparation for the winter. I believe they must know something that John and I do not, because it seems as if everyone is cutting a ton of wood around us. The
wood piles are the biggest I have seen in nearly 5 years. For now we will enjoy the fall, morning walks and weekend walks with the family. Although we look forward to skiing and sledding in the winter.

Sorry I missed you at Kindermusik Thursday, I was just so tired. I'm sure you can relate. I'll bring the video next week.
