On August 4th, 2006 our precious baby boy was born! Right before we left for Durango we celebrated Alexander's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is 2 years old. Within the last couple of months Alexander has grown a few inches and seems to have gone from baby to toddler. He likes to try and keep up with his older sisters, always wanting to help, "I help Mom!" He and Anika are always competing to be the first to open the doors to the gym, the first to open the door to the house, the first to get in the car. Alexander talks a lot, but I can only make out 25% of what he says at the moment, although Anika seems to understand exactly what he says.
We had a quiet celebration at home and I made a small chocolate cake with vanilla icing. John made it clear to me that Alexander specifically said, "I want chocolate cake with vanilla icing, John." Yes, Alexander is always calling John, John and not Dad. We try to correct this daily. There is now a 50% chance that we will get "Dad" from Zander.
As you can see from the photos of Zander opening presents there is a heavy influence from the Trojan side of the family and of course the influence of golf, which EVERYONE in my family loves to play.

OMG... I can't believe that Zander is 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like it was just yesterday that he was born. He is super cute and it looks like he and Anika are the best of buds.

Happy Birthday!!! So hard to believe that it has been two years already. Time goes by way to fast all we can do it try not to blink to often.
