On Thursday, December 11th, we dressed up and took the family out to dinner for Italian Night Buffet at the O-Club. Yummy! The pasta is the best, made to order and out of this world. I had it last October for book club and it was so..... good. I really didn't feel that a cup of pasta was enough carbs (I eat bread, maybe once a week, never eat pasta and eat brown rice if any, no potatoes, so this was a stretch) so I moved on to a slice of the Terriyaki Chicken Pizza with a white sauce (let's call it what it is people, CREAM). Okay, so I stopped there and working out the next day was definitely on my list of things to do. Swim to California, Check!

Next we went to a dessert theater performance directed by our base Chapel and performed by many dear friends of ours. It was called, "Word On The Street", a modern Christmas Drama about Mary's proclamation of her pregnancy with Jesus. Also Elizabeth and Zacharias were pregnant with John at the ripe age of 85. Basically it was a drama about the first chapter of Luke. Very well done and the family really enjoyed it. The kids were well behaved until the sweets kicked in, Zander reached Defcon 1 the last 5 minutes of the drama, because I wouldn't feed him any more sweets to keep him quiet and occupied. That is where the Daddy hand off came in handy. 7-14-34-64-2 year old-HIKE! Hear you go John and John ran out the door with Zander!
All this was pretty daring with a 2 and 3 year old. I have to say all went well until the nuclear meltdown hit. Merry Christmas:)
