Happy Turkey Day

Happy Turkey Day from the Waskiewicz Clan. We are having a nice, quiet Thanksgiving with just our family, that is the way it tends to be here in Japan. I remember Thanksgivings in Germany with the Hair Family and a few with our German landlords and friends. Good times! Today we will be cooking "Tom the Turkey" as my Grandmother Rusling used to say. I may attempt making my own gravy, but I usually get lumps. We will have the turkey and my grandmother's stuffing with chestnuts, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, German green beans, pumpkin pie ans Lexi made brownies for brownie sundaes for the kiddies.

This year we are so thankful to be in the position we are in. With the economy not doing so well and so many people loosing jobs, we are truly grateful to be here in Japan and have a roof over our head and not have to worry about a mortgage collapsing, etc... The price of gasoline on base is finally dropping tomorrow, from $4.06 down to $2.43.

I am MOST grateful for our wonderful family, especially my immediate family. I feel so... incredibly lucky to have Alexis, Anika and Alexander in my life, they are true blessings. I am thankful for John who I know truly loves me. I am very thankful to have a kind and loving God.

I hope each and every one of you reading this post have a blessed Thanksgiving!
