So the question is: How many Japanese men does it take to change the transformer in front of our house. The Answer is: 11. One man is reading the newspaper in the blue van, I guess it is his 9:00 am break. One man to operate the crane, another to supervise the entire crew (man in blue jacket). 3 more men as conscientious observers on to hold open the door or is he leaning on it, one man to grab the parts and place them on the blue tarp. Then of course there are the 2 squatting down and actually working. This is how Japan works. My next blog on the quirks of Japan will be on traffic directors.
