Another tradition we have is baking cookies. We always make chocolate chip cookies and John makes his Mom's butter cookies in the shape of trees and bells. John also makes his famous fudge, which I found the recipe, but he actually makes it. I try to make my Mom's sour cream cookie recipe, but don't always have the time. When we do make these cookies they come in all shapes with all different colors of frostings. Like Dawn, I can taste the butter cream frosting already. I also like to try and make my Mom's chocolate Snowflake cookies, yummy. We are going to make all these yummy cookies manana.
Good news! John's boss is closing down the office next week for the ENTIRE week so John will have 9 days off. I am so excited. Lots of fun family time. We plan on lots of bike rides and walks, with a few day trips.
We are also getting ready for our annual Waskiewicz Open House that we are hosting this Saturday. Only with different, wonderful friends. I wish we could have all of our friends in one place.
I would also like to say a special Merry Christmas to 2 friends that have 2 special reasons to have a Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas to Dawn, she brought her almost 4 week baby boy, Alasdair, home from the hospital. He had RSV and was hospitalized for a few days, but is now home safe and sound with Mommy and Daddy.
Merry Christmas to Berni, Mike has returned home from the Middle East and the Hair Family can now spend the Holiday's together.

My mouth is watering reading about all the yummy cookies and just seeing your menu on the sidebar! :) It sounds fantastic!! We think of you all all the time and especially so during the holiday season. Wish we could pop over, but we'll be there in spirit.
