14 days 'til Christmas and counting down

Berni, you got me:) So here is my Christmas post. 14 days until Christmas and counting down, I am trying to savor every moment, but where does the time go. I am frantically trying to get the Christmas cards sent out and all the packages, before it is too late. The Christmas Tree is decorated, the stockings are hung and I am slowly getting the gifts wrapped and placed under the tree.

I will post everyday until Christmas, the 14 days of Christmas, my true love gave to me. My favorite thing at Christmas is family and friends. It seems that Christmas time gives us a chance to focus on our friends and family to re energize and reconnect. Playing board games and laughter, lots of laughter and giggles. Lots of hugs and kisses going around.

I love the smells of Christmas, the smell of our real Christmas tree, the smell of hot apple cider or hot cocoa, cakes and cookies baking in the oven. The smell of Yankee Candle, "Home for the Holidays" or my personal favorite, "Home Sweet Home".

Christmas is the time for those of us that haven't spent much time in God's House to go visit with Him and spend some time with Him. To thank God for giving us His one and only son, Jesus Christ on Christmas Day.

So instead of addressing Christmas Cards and wrapping presents I blogged this post and guess what it made me focus on what IS important at Christmastime. Thank you Berni! Merry Christmas!
